The role requires a strong understanding of crop science, data analysis, and market trends to optimize product offerings and support sustainable agricultural practices.

Develop and implement strategies for introducing and optimizing new crop varieties, considering regional growing conditions and market demands.
Conduct field trials to evaluate performance and scalability of new varieties, including yield potential, disease resistance, and environmental adaptability.
Provide technical advice and training to farmers on best practices for cultivation, pest control, and sustainable agriculture.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to design and execute plans for commercializing agricultural products, ensuring alignment with consumer needs and regulatory standards.
These responsibilities may vary slightly depending on the employer and region.

Éducation et formation

Due to the research nature of this career, as well as multi-project management, a Master’s level degree is recommended, while a PhD is preferred.
